One of our Walcott policemen informed me today that there are cars parked in my lot in the middle of the night (2:00 a.m.). When he checked on them it turned out they were using their laptops. I had no idea this was happening. Is this going on at other branches too? I was just surprised to hear about this.

There were times when I worked at Bettendorf that there would be someone in the parking lot using their laptops as we closed. My husband works as a technician for a phone company and sometimes he hunts down free wireless when he's working so he doesn't have to connect his laptop through his cellphone. - Crystal
People have used our wireless for as long as we've had it! Last summer a man from Germany came to check his E's while on vacation. People in boats have docked to use it! The only wireless location,in town,use to be up by the Fire Station & folks would pull off HWY 67 to use it. Penne @ SPRG
People have told me that they can pick up our wireless from the parking lot in Eldridge. You can also get a weak signal out in our Reading Garden. Cool!!! -Joan
